Graduated with a PhD focused in Interface Design from University of Brighton, Professor Ruslan has a diverse portfolio in arts. Ranging from volunteering as an Associate at Rekanegara since 2015 to being a Dean at Faculty of Art & Design, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia until October 2021, and now a Rector in the National Academy of Arts, Culture & Heritage, these distinguish him as one of the connoisseurs of the creative arts in Malaysia.
Professor Zaffwan obtained his Professional Doctorate (D.Des) and Masters Degree from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia in 2011 and 2006, respectively. He is one of the panels of assessor appointed by the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) to oversee the quality of tertiary education providers in the area of Art & Design and Creative Multimedia. Professor Zaffwan is also one of the authors for Visual Art textbook for form 3, 4 and 5 used in public schools nationwide.
With 18 years of experience in Visual Arts, Zuriyadi was an Asst. Curator in the National Art Gallery for 10 years. He now serves as one of its Curators. He leads the Entrepreneur & Industry Development Department, managing one of the popular programmes known as Young Art Entrepreneur (YAE!). Zuriyadi is part of the professional team that develops the Occupational Framework Model under Creative, Arts and Entertainment Activities. He was also selected to be the curator and judge for various art competitions, as well as a guest writer for several art exhibitions.
With 23 years at Faber-Castell under his belt as their Art Designer, Vincent brings his finely honed creative experience into the Young Artist Award to share his unique perspective and knowledge. He has graduated and earned a Diploma in Communication Arts in Graphic Design since 1996 and Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from RMIT University since 1997, giving him the headstart to be a highly valued creative personnel in Faber-Castell.
