Can I submit multiple entries?
Yes. Each participant may submit more than ONE (1) entry to the contest. However, each participant will only win ONE (1) prize throughout the contest
What art mediums and materials can be used to complete the artworks?
We encourage participants to use all sorts of art mediums to fully express and explore their creativity through their artworks using any means of direct drawing, painting or colouring, including but not limited to: Pencils, Crayons, Watercolours, Poster colours , and others. We also recommend participants to print the provided colouring sheet on A4 papers.
Are there any elements or imagery that participants are not allowed to incorporate into their final artwork?
Submitted artwork with digital images will not be accepted. All final artworks must be completed by hand using the permissible art mediums as listed in item (2). Any imagery that is copyrighted, or is the intellectual property of other parties, also cannot be incorporated into the final artwork. Submissions that breach these restrictions will not be accepted and will be disqualified from the contest.
Can I post or send my submission via courier to Faber-Castell?
In light of the current national situation, Faber-Castell has prepared an online form on the microsite for the convenience and safety of all participants. Kindly submit your entry via the form on the microsite. Submissions made by any other means will not be accepted.
Can reschedule my workshop session?
All confirmed workshop sessions are not subject to rescheduling. You may try to apply for a new slot instead.
How will I know if I have successfully completed my registration?
Upon completing the online form, you will receive a notification on the microsite informing you that you have been successfully registered as a participant.
How will I know if I have been shortlisted for the following rounds?
Participants who are shortlisted will be notified by email. In addition, the microsite will also make official announcements of shortlisted participants.
Can I join this year's contest if I was the Grand Winner from the previous Young Artist Awards?
No. The Grand Winners (1st place) in the years 2021, 2022, and 2023 from all Categories are not eligible to take part in the Young Artist Award 2024. Any submissions will not be accepted.
Are participants credited with co-curricular points?
Yes. Participants will be credited with co-curricular points upon submitting their entries in Round 1. Kindly understand that only students from government schools are eligible to receive the co-curricular points. How can I join the free virtual workshop?
Faber-Castell Malaysia’s official Facebook page will announce more details of the workshop, so be sure to stay tuned!
Who are the judges of the contest?
The panel of judges is composed of experts from the Malaysian art industry. You can view the panel of judges and their credentials on the 'panel of judges' section of this site.
Who will be conducting the virtual workshops?
Reputable Malaysian art experts will conduct the virtual workshops. Be sure to stay tuned for the announcement in our official Facebook page.
Can hampers or trophies be exchanged for additional cash prizes?
No. All non-monetary prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, nor can they be exchanged for other goods.
What will happen to my prizes if I cannot attend the physical finale and prize-giving ceremony?
Kindly note that the finalist’s attendance in the finale and ceremony is compulsory. The finalist that did not attend the event will be disqualified.
What should I do to make bulk submissions for my children or my school students?

Will there be a confirmation letter verifying that students will receive PAJSK marks for participating in the colouring contest?
The official PAJSK letter from the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) will be available after the program ends. PAJSK points are awarded to eligible participants aged 10-17 from government-registered schools.

The Young Artist Award 2024 organizers do not have access to the MOE Points system and cannot influence schools/teachers to submit PAJSK marks. For inquiries about PAJSK points, contact the participant’s school after the program concludes, following the official announcement via Art Experience teacher’s Telegram Groups.
